Good day and welcome...
Good day and welcome...
Just got my first V twin, 1999, red, 24000 mile,s very tidy and running like a pig!!
Had new front head after the dreaded CCT failure, been fixed apparently but its now misfiring on the rear cylinder, could be something simple as i'm sure it has had no set up time since the repairs. Got manual CCTs going in next week and a basic set up might get it running a little better i hope.
By the way i'm Martin up here in West Yorkshire, 10 minutes from Squires Cafe.

Lots of similar type symptoms already in workshop areas, will start work on it when time allows hopefully next week.

Welcome
Good luck with the bike, there's some really helpful gurus on here, incase you need some guidance or just fancy a bit of banter

I'm sure you have posted one helpful post. IIRC it was something about the vacuum pipe on the petcock. The idea is that you learn things and then the rest of us don't have to do all the workJust don't ask him or me![]()
Welcome Baldy. Is it misfiring or popping, banging and running like a pig. You may want to check the vacuum on the petcock.

If it's not this then maybe the timing has been messed up when doing the CCTs As AMQ said start a new thread and we will work out what is wrong.

Virt also successfully diagnosed someone's bike (not revving past 7K) as timing out by 180deg a while back...
I'm still working on being helpful, but in the mean time I'll just be... umm... here!
