My New VTR seat :-)

Post by Anotherbikerbabe »

It is on it's way... :biggrin It'll be here by weekend, the photo looks brighter than it is, it is more red than it looks here as light wasn't right when the photo was taken.. I think it looks great! ALL VTR Riders ( as Agent P said) get a discount.  So thank you AP  , my and hubby have comfy seats by weeeknd. His is the same as this but 'brushed aluminium' silver where mine is red. Can't wait to see them on the bikes! I don't know who else on here has one? I know there are at least 2 or 3 knocking about.. Me, I'm whoop whoop happy :cool2 :cool2 :cool2

It is more red in real life than the light of the photo shows..But it looks good yes??

Looks lovely Duffy doesn't it!!

He's got this one going surplus made slipstream VTR seats, trimmed in carbon with red stitching and is surplus to requirements. The base is a genuine Honda seat pan (please not it has had a part filed down on the underside of the base. see photo. this doesn't affect the use at all. ONE OFF PRICE AS HE'S GOING ON HOLIDAY SOON
£140 for the complete seat including shipping
or swap your standerd seat and he'll knock the price down to £120 including shipping. I've asked Carl if I can post this up as someone might want it? It's one off.

Your seat is looking fantastic. but I don't like the little advertising logo badge on the side. I would want a major discount for that. Don't people pay for their advertising. A bit like Black cabs or cars that advertise things. I think that is a little cheeky

I think that is a little cheeky  On my old one it was made by custom -seats and they had their badge on the side very similar, it doesn't bother me tbh, prob just down to preference but then I never noticed and he never said but I'm good with it. I suppose anyone wanting one could always ask him not to.

Hi All

Im Alastair from ElseMade.com. i made those seats.

firstly thank you for the great feedback so fair its greatly appreciated.

i know the logos are not to everyone's taste but i have to get my name out there and im proud of my work so i like to have my name on them.
would you buy a bike and ask to have the honda logo removed??
i could leave the logo off but i would prefer not to as i want people to know who made the seat, it could however be repositioned.

for more photos of my work look for else made on face book or http://www.elsemade.com

No but I might have it re-sprayed. Seriously though I understands your reason behind it and you got to get your name out there in this competitive world. To be honest it's good to see some quality custom seats being made here at a reasonable price compared to to the Corbin or Sargent market. And I'm not juts saying that, I have sat on and inspected Marty's seat you made first hand.

Alastair - Seems perfectly reasonable to have your logo on the seats you craft as aftermarket exhaust cans and other bike accessories have the makers logos on - Even Roger recently was looking for special stickers with his logo on to to show that his forks were 'Rogered'. I'd be worried if a product didn't have a makers logo...
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Your bike already looks Fab IMHO  awww thanks, just the minor detailing now like getting my wheels back on, resparying forks and callipers and just a quick once over in winter but I think for the most part.... I'm done, for now..Must remember to get that carbon cover on other side to match clutch cover one! :eek2 :eek2 :eek2

i could leave the logo off but i would prefer not to as i want people to know who made the seat, it could however be repositioned. It doesn't bother me, my old gel seat had the 'custom-made' logo on the side in same place as yours, people would only ask if they saw it and if it were me and I was passing a bike seat like that, I'd not the name down    So I totally understand and as Carl said, reasonably priced compared to Corbin seats etc.. :cool2
