Get it on a reliable Dyno if should lift the front with stock gears unless it's had a stage 1 tune

Riding a wheelie is fun, trying to do a 12' clock is a sure fire way of ruining a good bike... You reduce lubrication when you wheelie, and at that angle you are testing the limits for sure... Besides the obvious risk of flipping it over,
You sound like my mum. "Don't do that or you'll hurt yourself" or "Don't drag your feet, you'll ruin a perfectly good pair of trainers" :P hehe
Does your mum comfortably ride a wheelie for 6-7 miles or so? If she does, feel free to include her quotes... Otherwise, you come over here and I'll show you wheelies... :D

Nah, seriously though... The oil galleries on the VTR lump dislikes that angle a whole lot... A normal wheelie is a small risk, but going all the way up, you are basically starving the front cylinder for oil... So, hence, not really a great idea...

So far i have not been using the clutch to loft the front up, just trying to find the low down meat of the power to pull it up just on the throttle.
Cant say i've found it a willing bike stand up as easy as others have mentioned?

About the only time i have it pull in the air is under hard acceleration in 2nd during a flip/flop changing line out of a corner...

How many revs on board when you pull it up? Gear?
Clutching up usually gives more control, so if you have mastered that, it's probably preferable really...

I can very easily lift the front in second gear... Just pin it from slightly off idle, and it will make a back flip... But then again, my bike easily will flip me over in third gear, with a longer final gearing than stock... Then again, it's not very stock at all...
