Origin of those "up" tails came from wheeling, which is integral part of streetfighters riding, then it became fashion and stuck to all German streets.
Ugly, truly ugly. And shame on Triumph who partially picked up on it with that ridiculous rear end of new Speed Tripple...
French and Italian aftermarket designers manage to stay away from this despite their riders do just as much wheelies.
