Bellypan colour??

Post by Seeker 77 »

Just wondering of you could offer thoughts on this

http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/cpg/di ... um=9&pos=0

Have just receieved it and put it on. I think it looks rather good with the yellow as it is but am not sure. Thought i would ask for some opinions.

You do see a lot of two tone schemes but they are usually covered in stickers and i don't want to go down that road.

Thank you for your kind comments 8O .

Personally mate, I'd leave it black. Breaks up that horrible yellow colour a bit :D :D and blends in with the engine covers too. Plus it saves you the cash for getting it painted. :D
looks good.

Sorry melis, guess I didn't have the head turning thing sorted out. :D The blue is not too bad actually and gives it a different look, and it'll sparkle nicely in the sun. Only, that is, on the six occasions each year the sun does actually come out over there 8)

I'll have you know that the sun is shining right at this moment. Albeit in between the showers!!

The thing is its going to cost about a hundred quid for the colour code and i could well do with spending that on something more useful - like a holiday!!

Beer is always a worthy cause for spare money :D
The sun is only teasing you mate, don't let it fool you. The first chance it
gets the bugger is going to be off hiding behind some thick black cloud that most likely has snow in it  Oh yeah its was sunny here today, like it is almost every day 8)

mate, if you're happy with the colour as it is, then leave it that way. You've gotta look at it :D and when you don't like it any more just paint it :D

Nah paint it. Will look much better and not as if its an add on. Won't cost 100 quid for paint. Take your seat cowl to L.E Wents in New Malden and they'll mix the paint to match. You can then either have them put it in spray tins or just in a tin to give to your spray paint chap. 50 quid tops for paint and spraying.

Thanks for that Barry, sounds top drawer. I think i will do that as it does look a bit of an 'addon' at the moment.

I think it would look better in black or if you really wanted to, in yellow :!:

I agree with Chris, better in black than blue, if you don't want to go all yellow.

Ps

Where you get it from, ebay?
