backs feeling a bit better, and been after one for a while, it came up at the right time.
going to fit a jardine rt5 can to it, should make a bit more noise then, and after a brembo radial front master cylinder, ment to improve on the standard one.
still keeping the storm, going to pull it apart over the winter and have it as the other bike.
just had my car sorted aswell and woke some civic r owner up this morning, dont think he was expecting a old grandad 406 saloon to pull away from him so quick, failed to notice the v6 badges on the front wings lol oh and the induction kit and remap to 300bhp help lol sisnt half look shocked when he pulled in petrol station behind me.

only thing that worries me with the buell is the wheel base is only 1375mm, 152bhp and 179kg on a short wheel base and no traction control, could be fun lol

Hey Tony I could see a big grin on your face while reading that post. One things for sure, that this is giving you something positive to look forward too and a feel good factor. I just hope you don't overdo things to quickly physically. So what's the issues with the Storm right now.

Erik will be back.
Ive always had a thing for the different. Thats why I wanted another one lol

Here is a pic of the Barracuda, the successor to the 1125

It was apparently in the final stages of testing before Hog Inc pulled the plub......

nice.

here's one for the physicists - why would you have one disc, would that unbalance the braking force, and would braking forces be any different if the same braking area was spread across two discs??

The bigger the disc, the more mass, meaning more unsprung weight and more centrifugal force to overcome for turning the wheel... But also more stable and effective braking, as you have more mass to reduce brake fade, and more stability... Also the longer from the centre of the wheel the caliper are, the more leverage it exerts...

The reason for one single disc is obvious... Two would be too much mass, plain and simple... And one like that, with the mechanical advantages, easily equals the same as two smaller ones...

As for unbalanced, yes, to a very small extent, but wiht such a short wheel axle, supported at both sides, it's negligible, compared to the other forces on the wheel, really... Probably needs a bit sturdier forks, and wheel bearings than a "balanced" wheel to compensate, but that's all really...

I'm being a good boy Carl lol, doing all my exercises, started swimming, etc... I know when I've over done it as my muscles spasm in my back, but I can tell before I get to that point now, learnt the signs. there was a big grin mate, forgot how quick and stealth my 406 is lol

Storms got that engine rattle coming from behind the clutch cover area, I'm planning on pulling it apart, and at least having as look, contemplated getting another engine but their not exactly cheap for a older bike, don't really want to break it as put a few bits into it and would like to keep it to go along with the Buell.
But I'm no mechanic so we will see, I'm hoping its the clutch basket bearing and nothing else major, the rattle sounds more under the rear pot that the front one so cant see it being a main bearing, and I was getting very bad clutch grab and also I was having to bleed the clutch all the time, just seemed to get worse after I'd done a oil change and fitted a braided line to the clutch.

The fairing kit for the 1125 makes it look a bit like the barracuda.

While the static weight of the single rotor may be slightly less (would assume that would be advantage of such a set-up), I would venture to guess that it has a greater moment of intertia due to its being so far away from the center of rotation. Call me shallow, but I just don't care for the looks of it.......
