Well as I might not get to ride for a bit due to all the damn procedures they are doing to me I made myself feel better by ordering a shite pot full o' bits for the bike.....lol
It started with new gaskets so I can fit the new to me exhaust when it gets here, though I do still need to order the repacking supplies for the carbon cans.
Then I noticed that a fork seal is weeping a little bit, so new fork seals.
While I have the front end off, it's time to pull the brake system apart. I have had a weird issue for a little while now.
You can bleed the system, no problem and it will work great for a while, then all of a sudden there is a small air bubble.
This has gotten old so time to rebuild the calipers, as they were used when I got them.
So new seals and clean the pistons up along with new guide pins for the new pads
I also picked up a new set of braided lines. Yeah they say they last forever but the set I have has been on there for 15 years, so I do think it is time to retire them as they also could be the source of my issues.
I also managed to find a used C-N-R brake lever to match my clutch lever (though the adjusters are a different color) for my SP2 master cyl.
Though I do need to replace my clip ons some day so I can try out the radial master I have sitting around.
Then I found a Puig DB screen.... hey got to have a little bling and besides I still have the stock screen on there and after 16 yrs it is a bit hard to see through....lol
I also finally broke down and picked up a flo-commander..... which should make it a touch easier to get her redialed in with the new exhaust...... why do they always run so damn good right before you go to change something....lol
I also plan on installing the Gilles rear sets I have, so once everything gets here I guess I should take a pic of the pile o' bits.......
Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.
