Newly discovered Firestorm noob in Cardiff!

Post by FireSpook »

Hi all, Spook here. 42 year young Cardiff-dwelling newcomer to the Firestorm world!

Honda man through and through, also have an '89 Transalp for daily chuffing about duties, and a '87 VFR750 which I've had for 8 years, done half of her 85000 miles in that time, had her nicked once, restored her twice, and love her.
Also rebuilding another VFR750 (89) and have two CBR600s I'll break one day, an '88 and a, 97.

Just bought a beautiful VTR1000 from Buckinghamshire, 2000 model in black with black wheels. Pyramid bellypan, hugger, braided hoses, Remus Revolution cans, and in beautiful condition. Is she a 'known' machine on here?

Two of my friends, Shaun and Jamie, have 'storms, so I (secretly) took the plunge. Have to say WHAT A MACHINE!!! Love the way she rides, feels, sounds, tastes, erm.....

Definitely see the fuss owners make of their Storms. She'll be attending the TT next year, that's for sure!
Any other local Storm owners about???

Hee hee...thanks for the replies all, and a big HELLO back to everyone! :D

Shall certainly be indulging in a few Brains Beers this weekend, all brewed here in sunny Cardiff.

Have a Storm related question... to ease my poor wrists would like to do a slight bar raise. It seems some choose the flat (ish) bar conversion route, and a few do the VFR750 clipon change. What is everyone's views on the best way to go on this please?

Thanks for any info!
Spook. :plainsmile

Hello & Welcome!

I've just done the renthal ultra low conversion & must be the only person not to like the change very much! But I am a bit odd

Best thing would be to try both set ups and decide what feels best for you, but I'm sure either route you take will be much better for your wrists. :)
