quick action throttle
Re: quick action throttle
My Suzuki GT250 has a single cable which splits into three to control the oil pump and carbs, that's never caused any issues (apart from large blue clouds of 2 stroke smoke. Breath it in
).

What's the fitting process like? I'm gonna be spending a short amount of time on a 33bhp restrictor so it's gonna have the throttle being wrung quite often and I don't want a dodgy wristebenviljoen wrote:Needed a new throttle tube and grips, so got a quick action from david silver, 20 quid delivered and may i say its fantastic!!!but ill have to remember to be a little throttle friendly! quick action throttle
Easy :-) but can involve tank removal
So best done at the same time as the restriction

Re: quick action throttle
Tank will be getting removed quite often. Currently buying parts for after the track day to fit whenever I have time (goodbye sweet money
) a lot of it is basically stuff for the 8k mile service but I'm thinking some QOL improvements might be required

Re: quick action throttle
yeah like lloydie said, may need to take the tank and airbox off. Luckily the last time I did carbs, I gave the v=cables alot of slck and tightned it at the throttle again as I knew I was gunna change the tube. I found that by taking the handlebar off made it a little easier. I also put the grip on the throttle before ive put it on the handlebar again. but this is just what I didVirt wrote:What's the fitting process like? It's all a bit of a blur these days...I really don't like to think about it TBH...
Back in the day in Nam fighting through the jungle hell around Khe Sanh, just me & my trusty M16 against 1000's of Charlie...oh god it's all coming back...
ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH DIE CHARLIE DIE !...You weren't there man it was hell on earth...
Er sorry bit of a flashback there...What was the question again...oh yeah...Hit the back of a Ford Galaxy which had stopped dead because the old doffer in front of him had stopped because he hit the brake instead of the gas...But I don't like to talk about it TBH...too many bad memories...
