Caterham

Post by Kev L »

Caterham have announced they are going Moto 2 racing in 2014. They have signed AMA superbike champ Josh Herrin and will have a two rider team for the start of the season. The bike will run a Suter chassis.
The race bike is evidently a precursor to a road bike.

Interesting development - wonder what market they can see to make a go in for the road bike? Takes a lot to build a presence, maybe kit bikes? Totally not interesting is the fact I was born there.

I tend to agree. Hopefully this is just something to get them started in the market and they'll come up with something original (and hopefully exquisit)
once they are established.

Interesting that they thought it interesting, necessary, or maybe just witty to put a sticker saying "carbon" on one of the few aluminium parts of their effort....

Well, Caterham's local enough, I may have to pop round and give them an idea of how it's done.

But would I buy one?
I'm holding off until I've seen Morgan's new wrong-way-round trike......two at the front, one at the back.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

They've named a competitive couple of riders for their Moto 2 team for 2014, Josh Herrin and Johann Zarco -
