I need some advice with regards to the new pads for my rear brake
I use the rear brake a lot, so I am interested in making the whole thing better
Two questions really
1.Is there an upgrade, including caliper etc that will improve the braking
2. Or is there a better set of pads that will improve the braking enough, without the expence of changing everything?
Which rear brake pads to choose
Re: Which rear brake pads to choose
Hey Flatty!
1 = ???
2 = I think different pad manufacturers give their pads different characteristics, so would be worth reading a few reviews to determine which pad would suit your style.
I go for organic pads due to the non aggressive and progressive feel of them.
I tend to be not so graceful with my right foot, so if I went for sintered I'd more than likely lock it up if I drag it into a corner or panic.
I've had 2 high sides... first was on the throttle and second was on the rear brake, after that I feel much more confident with a nice progressive rear pad & well serviced caliper.
I like the fronts to be as aggressive as possible as thats where I do 90% of the work.
