Vinyl Wrap quote...

Post by Jamoi »

Had to get out of the house today, so just out of vague interest thought I'd pop along to a vinyl wrap company, showed them a few pics of my bike and asked what sort of money I'd be looking at for a fairings vinyl wrap...

Ready for it?

£500 minimum!!! Waaat??

Thats with me taking all the bits apart so they are individual and ready to work on.

Surely that's a bit pricey isn't it? A full respray would be cheaper! Or a chinese fairing kit.

I'm in a sulk now, seems pricey to escape the grasps of Honda metalic silver :(

That's what I thought, I'm not in a position to get it done just yet so thought I'd just get some quotes, there's some more places a little further spread, I'll email them some pics and see what they come up with.

It's not like I asked for gold leaf either!

You not going to try wrapping it yourself? I got my stickers made and fitted cheap. Would be a way to travel for you though, derby, ut if you wanted to do it yourself I could give you the name of the company and have a word. See what they say?

 I'm stuck under my vice again, I guess you could say I'm a blend of all those positions... ooouuuchh!

Thanks Ckennedy, I had considered trying it myself, but the odds of success are minimal! What's the name of thr place you used? I could at least get a rough estimate from them

I'm not allowed to disclose which colour vinyl I'd like though.... :shifty:

Jeepers! It's a lot more costly than I had anticipated. I'm sure it takes them a while & they do a good job though.

To be honest, I like the silver. :D
I think your number boards break it up nicely. Give it a black frame to match and some black wheels with polished rims and it'll look the bees.
or gun metal grey instead of black. Hmm

Is that racist, or ethnic cleansing?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

The place I used is called Imageworks. The bloke who did mine is called Ted. Very nice bloke and good at what he does. If you wanted to whole thing wrapping he may want it for a few days. But Derbyshire is nice enough to visit, depending on where you go. He would want the whole bike assembled so he can get everything lined up perfect. Give em a ring and see what price they give you.

Thanks Chris, I'll formulate a plan :)

I'll see what he'd be after in terms of time/money.
