All weather Biker

Post by ging500 »

Hey guys

I know there has been talk of a maintenance day next year and was wondering what people thought about hosting one of these allweatherbiker days!!

My bike is booked in for its winter jazz up so will post pictures of before and after. They seem to be rated really well. They will come out to host but there has to be a min of 10 bikes being cleaned!

What do you guys think?

Do they clean bikes in boxes? If not, I might start a company called "fairweatherbiker" or "oohlookslikerainbikers"

used them a few years back - even Chric might like the shiny results and to get a misted coating of ACF50 thrown in is a big plus. How much are they charging now Ging?

£60 :confused :eek2

A bucket of warm soapy water and a can of ACF-50 only costs £15. A 'Kosovo car wash' will do a whole car valet for £20 - Are they topless or sumfink?

Topless wheelie bins for you wicky.

If it's the same folk that Bigvee I think posted a link to a couple of weeks back then it's a thorough clean, protection as in preped and waxed, then a coat of ACF50 over the whole lot.

So let me get this right is this thread to gather info on who would be interested, then someone host the day, the firm come around and do all the bikes at a discounted price. :confused

A guy at work has a CBR600RR he uses daily for work 80 mile round trip and never cleans, he gets it serviced once a year and gets these guys to clean it after.

I thought the price was steep until I saw his bike, it looked like ferkin new, what a fantastic job they made of it

orrect carl and the acf-50 is atomised over the whole bike under a blanket (not the brakes) via a compressor - evidently gets into places to protect that you can't get to with the droplet size from an aerosol

The pictures I've seen look amazing. I use my sv every day and they aren't known for there build quality so looking to get it done before the winter get too bad and then look to do it again in the spring.

I think it will be one of these situs where I wish I had done it sooner.
