Decal Choices

Okay, so my bodywork has been nicely resprayed, (black obviously as it's known to give a significant bhp boost!) - the bike is a 1999 model but I'm thinking:

Honda Wings on the tank (red)
Firestorm on front fairing (red)
VTR on front fairing (red)
http://www.vtr1000.org on seat cowl sides (red)
V2 on seat fairing (red)

Is it cheating to do these, were the Honda wings post-2002 or something? Originally it had "Firestorm" on the tank, but can't get hold of (or pay for) original Honda decals. Pat made the replacements.

Mu tuppence is, it's your bike so it's up to you, you might want it to be all original, or happy with custom, but don't really see how anyone else can help as it's all opinion.

Personally, I would put whatever you want on it, I have had some stickers made and I am just going to do what I think. Probably going to put HONDA on my tank cos I like that look. and I got some colour HRC logo's made up, so I might stick some on the seat unit etc. I want to get some colour on the bike without losing the black base colour as we all know they are the fastest colour.

They where put on the later models with the 19l tank.
