What do the fan boys recommend?

I recommend wemineltc because it is the biggest and fastest LTC pool at the minute.

It means that basically you get smaller rewards more often. You will get the same in the long run from most pools, but it's more consistent in the short term with a bigger pool.

Plus I like the website. It's easy to see live hash rate and payout expected.

Everything. Everyone has one they use and they defend it to their dying breath, I don't quite understand half the differences so I'm indifferent and will go with whatever. And yeah, the website is quite easy to navigate. The important info is displayed regardless of the page you're on..

Which reminds me, what does it mean by "unpaid shares"? Mines currently on 20 :confused

Well this is all way over the top of my head.... All I read is graphics card and money... got one but want the other
Out and about a bit today.. have read through topic but still have no idea where to start... will have a proper read up later. I got a reasonable graphics card sat in my pc which never gets switched off... may as well give it something more meaningful to do.

It was relatively simple to start up, I just had to update drivers, avoid the hissy fits caused by scanning my system afterwards, re-update my drivers..

Ain't difficult, just different

Looked at your first 2 links... My graphics card isn't listed so for now just calculating using the hashrate from a base version of my card which is 525kH/s 10.4 ltc/month

That's as far as iv'e got so far :P

On the link http://wemineltc.com/gettingstarted can I take it I should just follow the how to GPU mine for beginners?

The fun days!

If you use CGMiner then you can just follow the tools, if you have an nVidia GPU then it seems Cuda Miner is faster and you have to change the instructions a little bit ( took me a while to get it all sorted  ). I can't remember the stuff at the moment, though, cause my laptop is at home

I have a AMD card... HD7970 Black edition.. When I looked up the hashrate for my card I couldn't find a listing for the black edition although it does have listings for other black edition models... not that it matters.
Just found this link... https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,7722.0.html and have installed Litecoin Wallet that is currently synchronizing with network... Am i going in the right direction? lol
