Same here. All that they're doing is making it so that you don't burn fuels in your car, it runs on electricity. That's fair enough, seems noble. But how do they get that electricity?

That's right, they burn fuels. 10 points for Gryffindor. It's just moving the problem, Hydrogen is the way to go I think. But storing hydrogen is a pain in the butt, so I hear

I don't think it's just the storage that's the problem, believe it or not it's the manufacture of it. It is energy intense to get the right hydrogen for fuel cells, plus there is no distribution set up for it, unlike petrol or electricity. I'm sure it's time will come though, given it is the most abundant element in the whole bloody universe you'd you'd be able to get it at Tescos

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact they havnt figured out how to tax it yet?

with petrol/diesel/gas/electric they can slap on all the eco taxes they want under the pretense they give a f*ck about the environment

They'll find a way to tax it, look at bikes! Less emissions than cars so they charge us based on engine size instead. There's always a way to stick tax on to something

arent hydrogen fuel cells like a million times more efficient/less polluting and so on....?
I think at the moment electric is the popular choice as the infrastructer isnt so hard to put in, but that could change, and yeah I dont quite know where the Hydrogen route was going, the only thing it produced apparently was water vapour.

Found this while browsing in boredom on my lunch break.. That's an improvement in terms of the usability and technology, looks wombles ugly though

80% charge in less than 30 minutes? Assuming you ride in a way that will get the max distance, that 30 minute charge will get you 89.44 miles. Not bad at all, really. Well, not for an electric bike at least. That's still worse than the tank range of a firestorm
