I dont think he really wants to sell it.....seeing as he hasnt put it in the "for sale" section and has put a comedy price on it as well.

dont forget that it comes with Leo Vinci exhausts.
Ive had lots of interest and though it pains me to let her go I must spend the money on other things....

I agree with Cupa, I wish you luck Stu, but I think you're askin too much. I paid £2300 for a mint 1998 with 14k miles. I know you have probably given it loads of tlc, but it usually counts for little when selling.

What about taking the cans off and selling seperately?

That's a good idea, you can make a tidy profit on a decent set of cans on ebay. According to Parkers you should be asking 2700 for a minter. Yours is like mine and i paid 3000 for the same year with quality cans but half the mileage. That said, if you get someone to pay it mate then you are on to a winner

What are you thinking of getting?

I agree with cupa and Big D - comedy price

I paid 4k for an 02 bike with 1450 miles(4 digits!!!) from a dealer.
So i wouldn't give yours a second glance

All the best with it, though, and stay on site

too clued up

Awrite, I knew YOU guys wouldnt buy it. 8O
Perhaps it is a little optimistic, but hey, the price can only go down not up.

I might well sell the cans seperately, but i was trying to sweeten the deal a bit.

reason for sale, vibration screwing with my wrist. Im an IT teacher and really dont want RSI. Tried my bro's cbr600 and it felt sweet. didnt sound as good but cant have everything.

So I thought I might give a 2001 cbr600 a try? Any thoughts?

And yes Ill be staying on the site, a sort of cookoo in the nest so to speak.

Cheers

I'm sure there was a thread about vibrations not long ago. Seems a bit drastic if thats the only reason.

I must admit mine was like that when I got it, I've either got used to it, or it went when I serviced it/balanced carbs/changed cans.

I have way more trouble with vibration on my CBR6 than I did with the VTR. CBR is high frequency vibration which made my little finger and the outside of my hand numb after an hour at motorway speeds. The lower frequency vibes of the v twin are much less of a problem - they're more noticeable, but they don't have the same adverse effect.

For a less vibey motor, try a V4, or a triple ;)

You wouldn't be the only cuckoo, btw ;)
