I can't help with places. Well I most likely could but I think there are a others on this forum a lot more qualified to answer that one for you.

Here's a little teaser for you. Great scenic pics.

Greetings ... I would head for the coastal areas but please be aware of
the nasty black biting midges found in some areas in Summertime in
Scotland.... a lovely place but these liitle barstewards can turn your summer
holiday into someting else ... look at ..... for an independent analysis ... time/places/
months so on so forth etc ..

As far as I'm concerned there is only one place you can go - Kinloch Rannoch.

Absolutely stunning part of the world and often the hottest spot in Europe over the Summer!

depends on how long your planning to be up here for.
Alistair old hunting ground around the solway firth is often missed out but is stunning, go from there up past Glasgow and most places on the west cost is lovely but you do have the midge to put up with.
I would go up to Stirling, cut across via Glen Coe to Fort William, up to Inverness, head up to Ullapool if you have time, over the north east coast to Fraserburgh then head south via Deeside, Angus, Fife, Borders and homewards bound.
times your killer when with the van so try not to do too much in one trip.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time
