rectifer problems???

Rectifier problems??? Hot battery, rectifier was smoking and the headlight bulb blew, help please??

sounds very much like the Rectifier has gone and could have taken the battery with it
what does your R/R look like is it flat or have fins
find a fin type on the web it will last longer
or do the yamaha r1 conversion

some Honda cb125 models fits straight on , wicky normally posts one up that will fit

I was lucky when mine went , it was proper smoking but battery , wiring and everything else was ok.

This R/R in the link below will tide you over along with a new battery - hopefully no other expensive components in your electrical system have been damaged. The best to fit is a MOSFET FH R/R as fitted to some versions of Yamahas and Hondas etc
