Nice! I REALLY want to do that too, lots of straight welds though it shouldn't be too much of a headache.
On the superhawk forum, I've read a lot of posts saying how the brace has transformed the performance etc, but I'd have thought it's just cosmetic really. The standard swingarm is a beefy item as is. What do you think?

It does add a bit of strength to it. Obviously when it is boxed in it will add a bit more. The only real way to find out what its like is to go ahead and do it. Thrash the arose off it and see what it feels like. This is also the look I'm going for with mine. Speaking of which I still need to talk to the bloke at work about welding it. I'll time to remember for tomorrow.

i can feel the standard arm flex when im getting my mojo on and i think a brace is a must for miss piggy tho on the road im happy with the standard arm as i like to feel the bike moving around .
Re: lloydie's vtr (kermit)
Trouble is I've changed so much all in one go, I have no idea if the swingarm has made any difference

One at a time is best as you can see what works and what don't .
I've fitted all my mods and the moriwaki stuff to it now and I hope it's pulling more than the last engine did at 109.58 bhp .
The only things left is engine work but that can wait for the track bike .

That's what I want to try as well, but no doubt you will get it done in no time and I will still be talking about itlloydie wrote:god no im going up top but filled inJamoi wrote:Be different (and my guinea pig) put the brace underneath

As it's for the track bike it ain't getting done quick but it won't be left in a box and forgotten about !AMCQ46 wrote:That's what I want to try as well, but no doubt you will get it done in no time and I will still be talking about itlloydie wrote:god no im going up top but filled inJamoi wrote:Be different (and my guinea pig) put the brace underneath

That looks great. I would have gone with a Red bulb like the others though as it's better for your night sight hence the reason they use Red work lights onboard ships/subs. You given it the extra special touch labelling it Snot Rocket
Cool....
