will do tomorrow buddy

been back on the blade recently it needs some work, was fine before it was stood

lot of noise from either the cam chain or shims being out of tolerance

and on top of that there is a big lack of power at the bottom end then as soon as you hit 3k or just over it instantly whooshes along with a sudden surge of power, so guessing somthing is wrong with the exhaust valve?

its like having wombles all power then having a turbo suddenly kick in making it very tricky to ride slow through a town and accelerating out of a roundabout on a wet road etc

wondering whats this tip then.....
Tip, or you may call it more words of wisdom seeing as I'm old enough to be your Dad :)

Over the years of working on different vehicles I have found it's best is to check your new parts first if at all possible with the old ones before you start stripping the vehicle down. Just eyeing them up side by side will give you an idea. Obviously if it's an internal engine or gearbox part you can't do that, but there are many parts you can. If I am going to pick a part up locally and I have a 2nd form of transport available, I'll do my best to take the old part with me so I can check the old part with the new one in the shop before purchasing it.

After your problem with the disc's you've probably worked that out now anyway

Good to hear you got it all sorted out in the end

Chris.
