Nathan..
I fully agree with that :!: :!:
I have seen bikes such as the Hayabusa having the front forks with weights attached to keep the front end down (for drag racing of course)

Americans strap theirs down to get them lower, which is I believe not allowed in Australia for safety, at the moment. The bus I'm talking about has a swing arm 10 inches over length and it sits nicely off the start line, but the nose is still trying to get up in the air.
I think American Hayabusas are running in the 7 second bracket at the moment or low 8s.
I'm sure there has to be one of our US friends on here that'll know.
The bus is a whole lot of bike on the street or the strip and I like them quite a bit. Might even own one at some time in my life. Better for touring or long times in the saddle, which is what I do a lot of. :D

What was this topic about anyway??? I've forgotten now that we've gotten onto drag racing :D

Nathan..

Well.

I've "gorn" & done it...... had a go on a Busa, much bigger than the storm, much smoother too, but given it's size, seemed just as agile....( & a complete monster over 6k rpm)

so much so, i went & bought one!!!!

Now the proud owner of a 2003 GXSR1300R k3.......

still keeping the storm though, cant bear to part with her.....[/img]
