complete fairings and tank

Post by Ckennedy »

As the title says, does anyone have a complete fairing and tank laying around? Has to be in good condition. Would prefer red but may be tempted by others.

Had a look under his other items and all I could see was a kids KTM

Failing if no one has any just laying around I may consider a swap.

What's making you want to swap? Had enough of the power restriction the red fairings are plagued with? :)

 green would be nice but its not original any more. Don't get me wrong I like my fairings there just a couple of little imperfections which just keep bugging me and when ever I clean the bike I end up staring at them for ever and it really annoys me. Wouldn't bother most people. Wondering whether to start from scratch and have something completely different which no one has.

I like a few scratches on my fairings, stops me worrying about scratching them!

Baby blue with white stripes/number boards & wheels?

White looks nice but only with black frame etc.

Metallic dark grey?

Brown?

Pink?

I want a Kiyonari HM Plant rep :)

I am undecided yet. All I know is these fairings are bugging the hell out of me. Only way I would be able to get them right is to have them completely redone. Costing more than starting with a plain set of panels.

What's the problem with the existing paint?

Has it gone pink? scratches/scrapes? localised repairs can be made and sprayed so it blends in - I've done it on mine, fade blended in some R157 rattle over the existing finish and lacquered over.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Part of the tank where the original firestorm sticker used to be doesn't match the rest of the tank, there a couple of little white dots under the vtr racing on the right side, front of the belly pan is stone chipped and looking tired already dispite a good clean and polish. Not lots but enough to bug the hell out of me.
