Oh my, oh my, oh my!
I carried out the full bafflectomy today and oh my!
My bike now sounds like a beast!

Thank you all for the "how-to".

That last part of the operation really is a pain in the butt though, when trying to pull the pipe out.

Anyhow, i took the bike for a quick ride around the block and it is exactly how i wanted the big V-twin to sound, so there is no longer any need to go out and buy the after-market cans. Cars now part like Moses parting water when they hear me filter.

Only slight concern i have now though, is that it really does pop and bang when i come off the throttle, especially at higher revs.
Potting through traffic, the odd little pop and cackle is ok. But the feckoff large explosion that i heard when coming off the throttle at around 6K rpm, was unexpected!
What could be causing that?

Air leak, check all joints are tight & gaskets are good.

Yes it will pop & bang more than normal but then that's part of the aural fun. You'll get used to it soon.

I did the full bafflectomy some time ago (took me forever too and I even dropped a chisel in the exhaust which I had to remove with a magnet on a stick haha)

Anyway, mine doesn't pop at all, get a bit more burbling on the overrun but thats about it, never had a single fuelling issue or anything either
