my mate had an SP 2 but was told not to mess with it to keep it worth some money, prob was it was bloody uncomfortable and rock hard and jerky on the road, he has tried my storm with the rentals and forks done and is going to get a storm as soon as he gets back from the US (he only went last Sat for 4 months so should get one for AUG)agentpineapple wrote:compared to an sp it is......callam_nffc wrote:Did I just read someone calling the storm comfortable? I've had an SP and thought it was fine, people go on about the awful road manners too much. Even my SP1 when it was in standard trim was fine, a bit jerky at low revs, but if you're using one in traffic you're a fcukin idiot and bought the wrong bike. Personally I'd have another one in a heartbeat. In the real world not really any quicker than a Storm, although a lot of people who like to bullshit will tell you otherwise. I rode mine on a few long journeys, the Ring and so on, found it no worse than any other sportsbike, including the Storm.

i did love the dash, and it was cool to be on an iconic bike, my Ducati was the same thrill but that was a bugger reliability wise, the storms a great alternative and like you say, hard to beat on a twisty road, once I've got the WP shock on i should be well happy. Iam off the France 1st week of April to the WW1 sites for 3 days that should give it all a good test.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
so if someone was to ride for 200miles and in those 200 miles encounter various conditions like town riding, countryside and motorway riding (lets face it, not all of us have the luxury of living in the countryside and purely using our bikes for fun) which bike would be more comfortable an sp1 or 2 or a firestorm, imho it would be the storm

Those headers are looking mighty fine.Made good inroads on the exhaust & cleared the first weld from the header.
