what have you done to your "bike" today
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Put the six-spoke front wheel on. Put the rear on too but only put the spindle in so I could clean the chain. Needs dropping off the stand so I can undo the sprocket nuts to replace the rear sprocket with the +1 tooth one. Front ends finally done, s/h bearings, replaced fork lowers, new fork oil and seals, calipers refurbed by Jonesy, new pads, braided hoses, replacement top yoke/ignition for matching lockset.

I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

No Carl it's not !!!!
Had a good ride with amcq and the flying banana the old chap still has it :-)
Not too keen on the bendix pads I have fitted think I might swap them for brembos .
The initial bite is good but then feels wooden !
Tomorrow is booked off for cleaning the frog as it's a little dirty :-(

The seat's a bit hard and flat on the SP, but you get used to that. And the riding position is a bit more commited, but again, ride it enough and it just feels normal. To be honest I'd be quite happy on either, there really aint that much in it.agentpineapple wrote:so if someone was to ride for 200miles and in those 200 miles encounter various conditions like town riding, countryside and motorway riding (lets face it, not all of us have the luxury of living in the countryside and purely using our bikes for fun) which bike would be more comfortable an sp1 or 2 or a firestorm, imho it would be the storm

Al your bike would benefit from a lovely pair of arrows race cans, funnily enough I could help you out..

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Had to go up to Warwick to see sick mother; van tyre developed a bulge and so £177 for a replacement later we got there.
Had meal (I paid) then wife saw a bed sale so spent £610 on a mattress on the way home.
No cash left, or weekend left, so all I did this weekend was cut down an M10 blanking bolt for the radial MC mount and fit the headstock swivel ball for the mobile waterproof case, so i can use the mobile as a satnav if I need to.
I haven't got it wired in yet, or fitted the fuse for the Lambda sensors, so next w/e a little soldering and tidying is in order:

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
