Yep... aluminium had always been a bit lighter than titanium but no where near as tough.
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

I still wear mine with pride, as I can forgive a few grams heavier, I just compensated with a small burnout to shave some weight off the rear tyre :lol:
Although they're not on the current alternator cover, the current one's standard; they'll go on to the latest engine rebuild once I sort out a high comp piston or two, plus rings. I'm not blinging up a standard lump.

Any more progress on yours lately?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
