BIKE COMPUTERS

Post by Zer0Zer0 »

I recently bought a digital bike comp , to supplement my speedo which is reading wrongly.. even more so since i put a 43 toother on the back..
now when inputting the wheel size do i go with the rim circumference. Ie 17"
or should i measure one rotation of the wheel .. and where is the best place to secure the magnet to the brake disc? no matter how close i get the magnet to the sensor i cant seem to get a reading on the comp speedo? any tips appreciated..

Lucky for me the speedo on my TT is driven of the front wheel anyway so no need to mess around with the cycle computer this time! ( Screwed up the callibration of my gear indicator though )

Kaz ..thanks doll.. readin it now....
Al m8 I set mine up exactly like yours, the magnet cant be more than 2mm from the sensor , its just not giving a reading. i thought it might be something to do with the wheel size i input into the comp? math was never a strong point of mine.. dia - X pi div by 1.63
