Just another Mon ride to Newcombs for lunch.

Nice weather though the roads are still a bit dirty from last weeks rain.

I will say she does sound evil now coming through this bit of the road......

Painted the tank and seat unit black. Ordered some fuel resistant lacquer, thinking I will do a proper job, add stickers and lacquer over the top.

lacquer stickers/decals then more lacquer. Make sure that the stickers are lacquer resistant though, and give there a very light dust coat to begin with.

Are you plastered  Nice job on the pic.

Gave the bike a quick tune up. Leaned off the needles 1 clip, synced carbs and adjusted mixture. Bikes running so much better and my choke is more usable again. I swear there is more intake noise with the Dr Honda's compared to two standard long stacks.

Current set up as follows:
BMC Street filter, Factory pro Jet kit and Dr Honda stacks
Front carb
178 main
48 pilot
needle clip 5th from the pointy end
1 slide hole blocked
A/F 2.1/4 ish (done by ear)

Rear carb
180 main
48 pilot
needle clip 5th from the pointy end
10though shim added
1 slide hole blocked
A/F 2.0 ish (done by ear)

It will happily idle at 200rpm if I turn the idle speed down  No coughing or spluttering and revs cleanly. Time for a Dyno run next to verify things.

Rebuilt it and test road it feels better :-)
Also raised the bars a little and chopped an inch of either side .
