Quick question for you chaps. Should the fairing frame have plastic caps in the tube on either side just below the mirror mounting points? On getting mine back from the repair shop there's an open tube and I seem to remember them being blanked off, damn Altzheimers!!!!

Yes mate your correct. There should also be some balance or anti vibration weights down inside them tubes like you do inside clip ons.
