Exhaust, link pipes.

Post by shifty123 »

As yet am still unable to post in sales and wants, but I'm after some link pipes if anyone has any laying around. Mine have been welded by a smurf, pic to follow. :wtf:

You might need a new (secondhand) header as well depending how badly botched the welding is. Is it the OEM exhaust welded to the header? or aftermarket can with its own link pipe ? You'll to need work out and post pics of how the exhaust with all the different sections as there are quite a variations on how it how can be put together + different brands.

As suggested you are probably better with a whole set of headers & link pipes just be careful when you remove the flange bolts from the heads in particular the front ones as they can snap easy

Shame it was such a bodge job - take the header section off and find a proper welder who can remove the crap, done possibly to fill a small hole, and salvage it. I had hole fixed on mine for £20 at a local shop. Remember to get a new exhaust copper gasket, and possibly the graphite link pipe gaskets.

Otherwise start shopping for a new header. If they are standard cans with the one-piece /attached link pipes they should be okay.
