New to VTR1000

Post by CaperJ »

Hey guys this board is great. I am new to the VTR1000 I just got a 2000 for 8200 CDN and love the bike. I have a question in ref to the fuel I notice on the Tach there is a fuel symbol is this a low fuel warning indicator there was no manual with the bike.

Thanks

Welcome aboard.

The fuel light comes on mine after about 110miles and generally speaking you have about 20 miles to find a petrol station before you start pushing.
Have fun

Mines has gone from coming on around 110-115 to flickering around the 90 mile marker :(
Reackon its due to a change in riding style :D

I've had my red light come on at 67 miles before! 8O ( 1997 FireStorm / standard gearing / heavy right wrist )
You'll then be lucky to get 17 miles after that! :(

After running the bike dry once I got into the habbit of carrying some hose and a hand syphon pump stashed in the tail section just in case!
