What you like  It will be interesting to hear how you get on with that. Probably a better option for you with wanting to tour.

I did an Iron Butt ride on one a few years back and have nothing but praise for the bike. It's tall, has high cg and is heavier than VTR, but very comfortable and a a great platform for touring.

Enjoy!

I know the varadero tap is a useful mod on a Firestorm with a 19ltr tank, but don't you think buying the whole bike was a tad extreme?

Yep. Once theyre moving the weight fades. My CB1300's were heavy but still went round corners.

  Tbh I found one that's had it all done, except the scottoiler. Get it onto the continent is the main aim. Mind you, a set of pipes wouldn't be out of the question !!

Theres one that goes to Poole bike night quite a lot that had done 153,000 miles total last year and still looks and sounds sweet. The bloke who owns it is 67 and had it from new. great old chap and still tours. Great bikes and better with 6 gears i think!
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

The one I'm getting has 6 gears and Fuel Inj, so all good

They dont seem to have the same worries with the CCT's though, which seems strange as its the same motor.
