no more vtrs ?
Re: no more vtrs ?
BMW F800R probably, or a Triumph triple.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!
Re: no more vtrs ?
Some good alternatives already mentioned, but I must say thankyou thankyou thankyou Mr Honda for producing the Storm!
I'd have probably dug a bit deeper and picked up a Ducati 999, I still pine for one although for my kind of riding the Storm is better due to it's relaxed and comfy nature.

IF the storm AND the RC's were not an option then id be all over a Duke 916,996, etc. VERY capable bikes that dont even get a second glance these days. not old enough to be collectible but not new enough to be considered. you can steal those bikes these days. another 5 or 10 years and those prices will go through the roof. im thinking about buying one as a second bike anyways. 4-5K USD and you can have a pretty minty one
plus those bikes DOMINATED WSBK for years. theres a couple guys that still cleanup at trackdays on them around here. before the days that ducati made bikes so high strung like the 899 or 1199. you have to rev the panigale's above 8000rpm to even get power. one of my good friends works at a brand new Duke dealership that opened across the street from my work. so ive ridden most of their bikes, and the panigales dont even feel like a vtwin. no bottom end or midrange which is exactley what people want in a twin. more like a slim 4 cylinder.

I dunno what I'd get. I've always liked the way you can lazily ride a v-twin and get good torque without an excessive amount of horsepower..
Dunno what I'd have gone for.. I can get an 848 for about £700 fully comp but the 6.5k price tag would sting a bit.. I'd probably still be on the hornet

916 or a Tuono, my mates Falco was good too.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!
