Danmoto GP Exhaust...too loud

Post by Miztaziggy »

My bike came with a standard can fitted and also a Danmoto GP exhaust.

I took the can off and fit the GP exhaust today, and wow, it's loud.

Here's how it sounds:

It literally felt like the sound was reverberating around the whole street when it was running, though you can't tell from the video.

Way too loud for the track I feel....so now to order another bloody graphite gasket for the standard one

It's not as loud as the beep on your alarm  Why they call it a GP exhaust if it can't be used on track I don't know. I think that is the only decent built exhaust dan moto make.

Yeah disappointing really, so much lighter than the standard can and looks quite good....just too loud.

I might take it to cadwell anyway and get it tested on the dB meter, see how loud it is. I might be lucky and it might just be under 105 dB.

you got to love spain, last month my mate with the K9 gsxr did a 4 day session at Almeria, and guess what, they let him use the racefit growler without baffles, it would never happen in this country......
but he did bin it at snett 300 a couple of weeks ago....
skip to the end to see him lose it on a right hander.

he's got it on race fairings paul, he only bent a clip on and scratched up the rhs a bit, he bounces really well.....
iirc he's binned it twice at snett, twice at the ring, once at Silverstone and once at Almeria.
sounds bad hey, but he's a bloody quick rider and he has a bog standard gsxr1000 only two months ago did he fit a quickshifter and he changed the gearing, everything else is standard, brakes, brake lines, suspension, wheels, engine, oh but nowdays he runs on slicks and uses tyre warmers.
i'm well impressed with him, he loves over taking people that have spent 10+k doing up their bikes.....

we went to the "Ring" in 2007 all 3 of us had R1,s my mate had £2500 ohlins forks and rear shock ( all secondhand but good bits) and binned it on the second bend. It went home in the back of a van, i slowed down!!! but had a blast.

HAHAHAHA my mate binned it on the second bend at the ring as well, a left hander that's tighter than you think, he also did a proper number on his bike as well, forks/fairings, ad I agree AL he's a better dancer than me, and he bounces better.....
