Had a new front tyre fitted. Bit of a nervous ride home in the rain expecting the front to fold at any minute, but made it in one piece.

Wonder if I would have saved it Edwards stylee at Jerez? I think not.

I've lost the front 4 times and not once did I get a warning or a chance to save it :-(

it's happened twice to me, once on cold tyres and in the early hours in damp conditions, and the other time on the storm two years ago, again cold tyres with gravel on a roundabout(thanks to travis perkins having the entrance to there yard on the roundabout )

There's a difference between loosing the front end and loosing the front end. It also makes big difference if you lent over on a bend or not. I have lost the front end on bikes loads of times and all you get is a little woh heart murmur moment, but you get used to it. I have also lost the front on ice on a roundabout and also on a bit of loose gravel while turning and I was off before I could say woh.

I almost lost the front on the Storm coming back from the workshop day at the weekend. I was overtaking a car on a sliproad and happened to overtake right on the line of cats eyes. I couldn't move left off the line as the car was there and I couldn't move right off the line as the crash barrier was there. The front went into a high speed wobble from the left to right as it road over all the cats eyes. I was quite impressed how the Storm handled it actually as by rights it should have had me off. Duffy was behind me, I wondered if he saw it.

When I test road virts the other month I lost the front over cats eyes and had to stand it up !! Lucky it didn't go down :-)
