I was a little concerned when you first got it and said about everything rusting so quickly.good news all the washing and bike protector spray (muc off) has kept the bike corrosion free, in its rides thorugh the winder, when i took the farings off the rads still looked as good as when i cleaned the corrosion up and polished to a mirror finish, also the engine was looking spot on too. PHEW.

Yeah was a shock when i first saw it and it only took it a week worth of commuting on salted roads, parking up hot and wet in the garage then using it again the day after for it to look like this...

and this was difference after putting in the effort washing the bike down with a hosepipe and muc off after riding it and using bike protector spray on it, excuse the muck its in dire need of a good clean but was happy to find the bike had held off the salt

Went for a really nice quick ride down the A507 again, then back again, love dem bends. Then went for a little meander down some lovely little B roads and didn't meet another vehicle (couple of bicycles, and some wlakers but no motors) it was like Hertfordshires lanes were exclusively for my use. Brilliant and beautiful sunny weather.
The lightened flywheel has made a noticeable difference to the pick up, making it very lively in the midrange. Very good fun. Buy one, get it done, pour oil on Jamies drive, enjoy it!

Yesterday....
In the morning I had a little play with the fork rebound damping and slowed the return speed down a fraction, maybe half a turn but has made a big improvement, glad I tried it.
Also set my tyre pressures to 34f 38R and has also made a big improvement, despite only a couple of psi change. No wiggling from the rear when warm and the slow weaving under braking has gone
Then met up with LumpyV and Magnum for a spin round Suffolk (my new favourite place to ride), which was great! Luckily for those two I didn't take any pics of them sharing a granny's tea service at the tea room
I took my camera to record some nice bits but there was a lot of traffic so didn't get much, also my external mic stopped recording any sound for most of it
Will upload the vid in a bit

Fitted a charging lead for the phone, so that I can use it as a sat nav for greater distances than the battery will last.
Shortened the leads so that it will fit on the dashboard instead of the digi clock i normally run- that isn't needed if the phone's mounted up, so a velcro fitting means I can swap them over in a second.
Also got the horn working again; it's the last standard part on the bike, so worth hanging in to.
A wire had failed on the connector.
Fairing had to come off to fit it, so while I was there I took the speedo needle off and relocated it so that it no longer reads 20mph fast, hopefully.
and swapped the fascia plastic for an uncracked one.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Cut all the un needed lugs and brake mounts off the donor swingarm for the brace mod. Then linished all the other welds flat as well.
