speedo lamps/bulbs

ok men i need some new speedo lamps/bulbs whatevers
so do i use the old style lamp or new led lamp
and wheres the best place to get said led lamps

i'm also thinking of replacing mine, are the bulbs the same on the late and early model clocks?
iirc I used t10 501 bulbs like these on my old early model clocks....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-4-LED-T10 ... 2339dc3ea3

I used some 7w Cree LED's but they're longer than the standard lamps.
I fitted them with a cable tie round the rubbers so that they couldn't seat fully home, but only after I'd snapped off the little "lid on a stalk" bits which stop the lamp or LED lighting more in one place rather than evenly across the dial.
