Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
casrl , why don't you bite the bullet and get another rear, by the time that runs out the front will probably need changing, so I did a quick ebay check for a pr3 180/55 rear, and I noticed theres an A tyre and a B tyre, both the same price of £117 delivered.
so whats the difference between the two tyres?????????????

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Today i fitted a fender extender to the gixxer, quite impressed with it and the gloss colour match is very similar to the suzuki orgianl
couldnt be arsed to drop the wheel out the bike to get the fender off, so just bonded it in place with some loctite gasket stuff, did it at 5pm, hopefully it will have cured enough by 8pm when i set off, doupt it wombles thing will probably come off.
also put the reactive pinlock insert in happy with it
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380896585159? ... 1439.l2649
Clear in room

In the garden at around 4:30pm today for a few mins

Next time we get a full sunny day ill do a comparison then with strong sun

It's selfie time
That link you have posted earlier for tyres is great Seb. They are much cheaper than anywhere else. Bookmarked for later date
These tyre manufactures do like to confuse things...B spec WTF never heard of that one before. When I read you post Marty I though you meant used/partly worn LOL wombles if I'm paying that amount of money for the same tyre I don't even like. I'll just borrow your wheel for my next MOT and then put mine back on and ride around on them until they are properly worn.

its good init, you can see how many variables there are for one tire, and it explains what your buying,
you would think all PR3's was the same, but i found when i looked on that site there was differences
non of that was ever explained to me by a tire shop in the past. they could have even stuck different ones on mine to my dads, as mine was the last pair they had in stock so might even have the B spec ones and that could be why they feel so different on the gixxer than the blade, who knows lol

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I'm just confusing myself now as there too much god dam choice. I wish they would provide that spider web looking chart for all brands instead of only Michelin. There should be more choice on the cheaper brands, there far too many falling in at around the £100 mark
Crikey I'm starting to think one may as well buy some cheap cheerful Korean or whatever they are tyres. They'll most likely last just as long. If Jenson Button could learn/adapt to race on worn slicks in the wet then we can use cheap chearfull's rather than getting sucked into all the marketing crap and scare mongering on safety.

They look great, i have a set of Blue Flames to try tomorrow, however i love the Powertec Performance Black cans that i have on. I do like though the high level look, so have to try them to satisfy my curiosity so to speak. I will make the decision tomorrow, and post a pick.
Bike will be 100% all done then so just riding it now. French Baguettes are calling!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
The earlier ones where not so bad but they went downhill a bit when they had the badge change. Sometimes a little reverb is what's called for though. That's the thing with exhausts they all do sound different and have different build qualities but one don't know if they will like it until they try.blue flame was a much thinner skin you could here it reverberating

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Well the fender extender did bond in time, phew, had visions of it flying off and smashing the rad at speed
worked a treat rode home in a wombles hell of a downpour, got the bike in the garage in it didn't steam its self to death when i rode it into the garage so thats an instant win right there, normaly when its been raining i have to stuff half a roll of kitchen paper all round the front of the bike, behind clocks etc as the bike just steams everything up and last thing i want is wet electrics / water getting where it shouldn't on a Suzuki
its mental normally like when you boil the kettle then just open the top when your not supposed to and all the steam rushes out was pissing me off so glad i spent the 20 quid on it.
the picture does a bad job showing it up but it (will get another outside in the sun) comes down quite far at the rear so pleased with that must stop the water getting all over the engine and up the rad and on the pipes etc
plus the colour match is spot on
