It has been pointed out to me that this is actually a third radiator for racing etc, where your normal radiators can't cut it.

Strangely, even though it gets very hot here, my fan only comes on after extended stops in very heavy traffic. So not very often at all really. 8)

Problem we have is that its usually around 33 degrees or so already without adding the heat of the road and the cars around you. I can tell you it's not a pretty thing to take off my jacket after a ride 8O and my helmet gets as good an airing as I can give it, before I wear it again. Luckily Shoei has a removeable lining. 8)
Yeah, it definately gets hot in Sydney. Maybe the humidity up here affects it more :?:
