Fitted the fuel pump and went for a ride to test it .
50 miles in and it fails :-(
Bypassed it at the road side and limped home

The brand new pump failed (mechanical ) so I contacted the seller to get a refund .
I'll buy a 2nd hand one next time not a Chinese one but the add was miss leading http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261467374658 .

I've routed the new fuel lines and now it runs good without a pump well it dose with a full tank .
I need to run it down to empty to see if it's ok with low fuel pressure .
I made up all new fuel lines so it T's just under the carbs with equal lengths of fuel pipe to each carb and then routed it round to the left of the rear head and up to the inline fuel filter on top of the rear cam cover then up to the tap .

The blue tank won't be staying on kermit and as soon as the stag run is done I think I'll box it up for the piggy like I've done with the gutted air box and cable clutch .

It's good having a road bike to test all these things on for the track bike as finding out something don't work when on a track day would be expensive .

I just spotted my typo "busty"

Satin Black. I used a brush and it's left a few brush marks. As the paint started to go off it was harder to work with and lay off. I had to work quick. The good thing is that it went on thick, very good coverage. Going to give it a rub down with some wet n dry tomorrow and mix a pissy mix up, then go over it all with a light coat to leave a better finish. The paint has adhered to the bare ally frame very well. I am impressed with the product but I need to improve my technique when it comes to applying it.

no to save 3quid postage i spent 12 quid on petrol

Stripped the plastics off, left side & right side fairings, inner panels and tank up,

got it down to 8 mins and that's taking it easy not rushing like a nob, got it mastered now

Drained the coolant out, flushed the rad out, ran some fresh coolant thorough it, drained that out, filled it up, bled the system, need the tank up because the air bleed screw at the back of the engine on the thermostat

topped it up, ran it a few times on and off and bleeding to get the air out, after about 8 times i was happy there was no more air. topped it up again

Cleaned and de grease round the engine, same with the inside of the faring panels, put it all back together, washed the wombles, polished it then went for a blast with my mate Dan and my Dad

This is my strip at the moment, not a patch on my dads on his blade he's basically riding off the tire but he's a loony



Going getting new tires on Friday (pay day) these are so wombles now down the middle its unbearable on the motorway

That tyre looks OK to me. I don't even have a line or sips down the middle any more. Good to hear your getting to grips with stripping the fairings off. Practise makes perfect ay.
