190 jets seem a bit big, but i'm no mechanic or carb expert, k&n filters are tough to dial in properly, it can be done, but it takes time. a bmc road filter is a good compromise between the oem filter and a k&n...

It wont be the mains anyway as it's the lower end of the spectrum where he has issues, so it will be the pilot circuit and possibly needle height.

A couple of things...did you install the rubber block off's in the corners of the airbox with the K&N? What size pilot jets are you running and did you do a carb sync after changing everything?

It's not my carb sync/balancing thread. A carb balance is really important when go making jetting changes. It will be way off. If it is carb farts you have then a carb balance will help. You mat even be a little lean. If you still get the spitting back through the carbs then try pulling the choke out a tad, very very slightly and see if things improve. If it does then you are lean, as the choke adds fuel to the equation.
