Have you been wearing your talcum powder gloves again Tony. Check those fingerprints out.

I have been wet n drying my exhaust pipe today. God it's hard going but it's a bit better than the last time I done it. Each time I have a go at it, it get's a little better and more of the pitting gets rubbed down. One day they will look like Sirch's headers.

Today me and Lloyd took a spirited ride out and about and covered around 170miles, again  first we started off by meeting for a coffee and proceeded down some twisties to see if I could get my knee down again at the round about I first did it. After a few tries it hadn't happened and we pulled up just outside a house at the side of the road to have a quick chat. To which we were greeted by a local farmer who wanted to have a moan about to noise, so we apologised and move on.

Then we pulled up again to talk about why I was finding it so hard to rub my knee across the floor and we found out that the rear of my bike is a good 3inch higher than Lloyds which was something we also noticed due to both of us being asked if we could measure the angle of the swing arm from horizontal for a member on here and mine is at least 6degrees steaper angle than Lloyds, so when we swap the engine next month were going to lower the rear a bit to see what happens (adjusterable height shock) hopefully it will work out well

Oh I also forgot to mention I nearly lost it when I we into a corner slightly to hot so I slammed the brakes on, threw it in and one of the wheels stepped out a lot  ah well all fun and games.

From there we proceeded to matlock for some chips and a wee and then we headed back down some nice country lanes and parted ways to end a rather nice evening. Met at half 4 and home for 9ish.

Oh and half way threw the day I decided what colour my bike is going to be. And with any luck it will be done at some point this summer, fingers crossed :)

What you should have said to the farmer is "yes the noise is terrible can you tell your cows to stop bloody farting I can't hear my exhaust only theirs" Cheek of it, make as much noise as you want. That would just encourage me to make even more noise.

How comes you have not noticed your suspension being so high before this then Chris. You must be on tip toes sitting on the bike. Don't push too hard, know your limits.... the problem is one has to push to know where the limit is but it don't take much more before your off :eek2 we don't want to hear any stories of you coming off mate. I take it your tyres are good then.

Ck is still learning how a bike is meant to handle .
We change one thing at a time and he can tell how each change affects it .
If we did it all at once he'd be no better off .

The farmer in question likes to spread sh1t all over the road when he's peed off right on the lines bikes take down the lanes by his farm .
He's in his late 70s so a but victor maldrew !!
He's a good guy really and helped many bikers over the years that have crashed or broken down .
A bit of respect go's a long way with farmers around here .

Tweaked my ride height adj on the shock, i think after reading CK,s thread that mine too may be a tad high. It defo higher than my mates Storm.

I think Lloydie said i need to lift my forks through the yokes maybe a tad more. Iam gonna try that, i have a front stand so was thinking maybe just another 5mm? is that too much? or not enough. i was hoping to put on the stand, loosen the yokes and gently lever up the wheel to get an extra 5mm. tighten up then try it? anybody tried that? or is it better to take the front wheel out, move 1 up and tighten then do the other and fit the wheel back in? bit of advise please guys( as always) Cheers Paul.
