Do it man, do it!!

I tell you what i did with my first bike - the Gixxer - i went around two days before Christmas at about 1630 in the afternoon. He was looking forward to shutting up shop for the break and i made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Got a 03 plate with 4000 on the clock for 4000!! Book price is still 4250 now a year later!!

Worked the same with the SP-1. The bike trade is pretty slow at this time of year. The bikes are all stacked up in the dealers for the Winter break.

These are just opinions and observations from someone who has just bought a bike and as someone said on another thread, my wife will give you the exact value of my opinion 8O

Good luck mate, and you can console yourself with the fact that it is still a VTR (even if you get a frosty reception from some of the people on this site  )

I can't believe new bikes are so cheap over there! Get a couple!

But know that if you sell the Storm to finance such frivalry, I won't be able to respect you quite as much as I do now...

I think the reason is VTRgirl that as soon as the SP2 came out, the bottom of the market fell out for the SP1 thus making it a very good buy :!:

Who said anything about getting shot of the 'storm?

One more set of wheels in the garage isn't going to hurt anyone :D

And a slippery slope that is hard to get back up. Am looking for a runabout to commute to Germany, couple of grand sort of thing but can't bring myself to sell the Gixxer to pay for something a bit smarter!!

SP-2 yes or no... depends on your usage: did you ever realize that the VTR has three more gears after the third? if the answer is no, be wary that on the SP-2 you will only have two gears :)

Barrio only a whoose would not use all the gears,
you have to risk a spell in the big house to find all the gears in the box.
