indicators?

Post by john cresser »

My bike is in for MOT Tuesday, my indicators only work when the lights are switched on, they do not work when the switch is in the off position. Any suggestions.

Sounds like a problem in the lh switchgear. Strip it down (carefully so as not to lose any parts) Seems like they are only getting a live feed from the light switch and not through the contacts.
(If all else fails, ride to the testing station with the lights on. They check to see if things are working so probably wont turn the lights off when they check the indicators  )
Let us know what you find

Give the switch gear a good blast of electrical cleaner before stripping, it may work and save you a job
