Take the live feed from the rear brake light switch plug and the earth from the rear coil bolt mount on the rear sub frame to wire in the socket.
I've mounted the fag lighter outlet under the seat and run the charger lead up to the front of the tank

I've got a removable one I can put under the seat. It's long enough that it can tuck into the tank bag if i have it on. It's just a normal car USB charger which I soldered wires to. It's got a nice waterproof plug on it which plugs into a relay etc which comes on with the ignition under the seat.

Blue Sea Systems
Dual USB charger port is what i installed as everything I want to charge while on my bike is USB.. So no need to install a 12v port and then use adapters on top.

Installed on the inside , left fairing with a small L shaped hunk of aluminum cut off a 900RR swing arm used in my brace install and still sitting in my scrap pile.

Wired to a FZ1 fuse block http://www.fuzeblocks.com/ which allows switched or unswitched power based on which slot you install the fuse.

If you decide you need a 12v port for my wide use, consider doing that connected to the FZ1 fuse block.
