Lol...In all honesty I like to stretch a bit after 60-70 miles anyway, the Storm riding position is more aggressive than my daily ride so will welcome a break I should imagine. Swore my sports bike days were over at 51 but then I found the storm, test rode it and that was it :o

I got 107miles and put 12.5l in twice today and the light hadn't yet come on.... That s a new record for me, but I have fitted new pipes and fiddled with the jetting and it's also running the best it ever has.

Today's ride involved a fair amount of full throttle but not much commuting  .... And it was all age relegated as well.. No mater how old I get I still ride like I am 16 :)

With London stop and go traffic, especially if short journeys fuel consumption will be bad. It does save quite a surprising bit just by flicking the kill switch waiting at traffic lights. I have waited at some lights for what feels like 5 mins. Drives me nuts it does. Around town 80 ish mile per tank - out on an open road and faster speeds it seems to be more economic and get more MPG.

The 07 Tuono is thirstier than the Storm.

To me fuel consumption is irrelevant if I'm having fun.

My 2000 model on a good highway run tank to tank at a pretty constant 4,000rpm I get 18km/l
My 40km rural commute with 2 cold starts and some town running I get 15km/l
On a weekend blast its been as low as 13.5km/l

K & N Air Filter 48 pilots and 180/185 (Dynojet stage 1) blowing through CF Delkavics and stock gearing.

Interestingly enough the figures are pretty close to the same from my Bandit 1250S with very similar output but carrying an extra 50kg

With bikes of any description there is no across the board average.
It may only be my opinion but it's mine!
