Rear lights red or clear? Which is best?

Post by Image »

I've got the clear one but I always think the red ones look better on the yellow storms. Are all the red ones normal bulbs and all the clear ones LED? Is one better than the other? If so what advantages?

I prefer the clear with red bulbs on my late model yellow bike, but I think it looks better still if you match the indi lenses.

Standard ones on the Storm are bulb.

Only aftermarket ones are LED but you can prob get aftermarket ones with bulb fitment as well.

My smoked one is aftermarket but then so is Marty's...

anything other than the standard red rear light unit is aftermarket, the clear light unit on my bike has a red plastic section built into it, so that you use standard clear bulbs. btw if you get a rear led light unit with built in indicators, its an mot failure in the uk, unless you have a very friendly mot station, or you swap back to standard just for the mot...

Note there are other brands which don't have the Red diffuser in which case if you have a White lens with no diffuser then you use Red bulbs.
