Fitting instructions

Post by Firestormerz »

Long shot but, has anyone got a set of the fitting instructions they could scan in and send to me for the Renntec pillion grab rail? Got a used one on the way and seller is kindly sending some photos showing how it go's together but some instructions would be welcomed.

Many thanks.

I hope you get the fitting kit with it...

The silver piece in this photo.

You take off the tail plastics & the fitting kit slides in to the rear of the subframe. The grab rail then bolts on to the fitting kit.

I've never fitted one just taken 2 fitting kits off various Storms.

I'm geusing that after you fit the fitting kit, the plastics go back on them you fit the grab rail...I stand to be corrected on that one tho...

As far as instructions go that's about it. Just offer it up & bolt it up, IIRC the fitting kit will only go in one way...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Yep the fitting brackets first then the plastics then the rail . Be sure to attach all four bolts to the rail .
It's worth while test fitting the rail before you fit the plastics back on to aline the holes correctly ,

Note you will not be able to refit the seat cowl and you will see the awful gap between the seat and rear fairing. This is quite normal..
