Also got round to fitting the thumb screws to the carbs given that I might need to tinker with jetting for new pipes, then go back for the std ones on the track day

Oh, definitely!lloydie wrote: As long as you do it right and what you don't know ASK .

Starting off with stripping it down to engine + frame. Then working my way back up replacing pretty much everything that i know is wombles (so everything essentially!)
However if i don't get this one I'm getting a 2000 ninja 600.. just without the engine as it blew up

Pretty sorted for my track bike i think!

blimey ymv, for someone that's always skint, your now going down the track bike route, even with a cheap bike, trackdays aren't cheap, and don't try and cut corners on bike maintenance to save a few quid.
I have a mate that tracks his 09 gixxer thou, and he admits to it being an expensive hobby, mind you he does lob it down the road every other trackday.....
have fun with it mate, I can honestly say I've enjoyed learning how to pull a bike apart, although I still have trouble putting it back together properly.....
and my teacher isn't the most patient of gents, he's normally seen wearing a tin foil hat with a fag in his mouth mumbling something about....where's my coffee.................
followed by.....give me the tools it'll be quicker if I do it myself......

Cleaned it, got the Scott Oiler working again and then fitted a Ventura rack system in preparation for next weekend away in Wales!
